“My Trend topper is really easy to take care of day to day. I wash it and style it myself, in the same way I would wash my bio hair, except that I wash it in the sink. I use lukewarm water and color-safe shampoo and conditioner,” Emily explains. “And when I brush it, I start at the ends and work my way up.”

Disadvantage #1: The Trend Topper doesn’t provide the most realistic scalp appearance
When pushed for the disadvantages of her Trend topper, Emily mentions the lace top. While lightweight and breathable, on close inspection, the lace top does not mimic the appearance of a real scalp.
