Premium Natural Hair Wigs
Follea was founded as a manufacturer of premium natural hair wigs, and they continue to be our greatest pride and our special expertise. Although we are solely a manufacturer and distributor of European natural hair wigs, don't be afraid to call us at 1-888-4-Follea or write to us, and we'd be pleased to introduce you to one of our local certified Follea ateliers or affiliate added hair centers.
Hand Processed European Natural Hair
Most natural hair wig manufacturers today mass process their hair in vats while we at Follea continue to make our natural hair wigs using traditional hand processing techniques. Simply put: we treat all hair like we would our own, if not better.
We start with the healthiest European hair found, for each product processing only hair which matches closely the final color, minimizing our processing time as much as possible. Ponytails are bleached and colored one at a time, guaranteeing that each and every strand retains its unique individual character, and ensuring that our customers get only the best natural hair wigs.
Natural Hair Wigs & Cap Design
The most important part of natural hair wigs is certainly beautiful hair, but that doesn't mean we ignore the construction of our caps, and here we use only top quality materials: Swiss lace, Swiss spandex, Chinese silk and US or German made polymers and fibers.
Still, even with the best hair and the finest materials, more work remains to be done. To guarantee that all of our natural hair wigs are equal to our reputation we employ the strictest quality control standards in the added hair business, and retain only the most skilled craftspeople; nor do we ever rest in developing new technical solutions for our diverse clientele.
We manufacture everything from standard clip-in pieces to non-slip no-clip silicone Gripper™ wigs in a wide variety of custom configurations, and we're sure that you'll find our customization options are unparalleled. Understandably so, because we have over ten years of experience designing and manufacturing custom natural hair wigs for both other wig labels and hair replacemnt centers worldwide.
On Judging Premium Natural Hair Wigs
Always check your wig carefully. Take it out into the sunshine: you'll quickly see the difference between good European natural hair and heavily processed and silicone slick Asian hair. Don't be afraid to brush it: hair that pulls out or breaks of is a sign of hasty construction or damage done during vat processing.
— Michael Leigh, President of Follea USA
Buying a wig is an investment in your beauty and happiness and as an investment you have every right to be a choosy buyer. We believe, and we're certain you'll agree, that every part of a wig should be inspected with absolute attention to detail. You can be sure that this does not worry us in the least—quite the contrary—it's exactly what our quality control experts do before our products leave our manufacturing center.
Finding Great Natural Hair Wigs
To judge the quality of good human hair wigs many hair replacement experts begin by holding them up to bright incandescent or halogen lights, or even better by taking them out in direct sunshine. The lustre of natural human hair wigs is unique: a combination of shades, texture, refraction and reflection gives natural hair an unmistakable chromatic texture that's impossible to recreate with synthetics and very easy to damage in natural hair by over-processing. With a little practice you'll learn to spot the deadened lustre of cuticle removed Indian hair and the Christmas tree gloss of silicone treated cuticle removed Chinese hair and synthetics.
To look truly natural, human hair wigs should have soft, air-light hair. Lift the hair and allow it to fall from your fingers and you may be able to detect the weightiness of silicone coating. When caught by a breeze or passed in front of a fan, clean healthy hair should easily lift and blow with the breeze. No wind? No fan? You can always blow on it. This is a great way to look for natural looking (and invisible) hair in your natural hair wigs and a surefire way to spot synthetic hair.
You can also check your natural hair wigs to see if hair cuticle is intact. Pull a short tress tightly and pinch it between the fingers of your other hand, running them up and down the hair shaft. When cuticle is intact it resists upward, from tip to root. And because cuticle is just like shingles on a roof, running down the hair shafts, there is naturally no resistance when you run your fingers downward.
A great test for hair strength is the brush test. It's simple: if the wig sheds hair when you brush it either the hair is damaged and weak, or the knotting is loose. Either way, you'll soon have problems with any natural hair wigs that shed before buying.
Having done all this, all that remains is to step back and look at natural hair wigs from a distance. You like it? It looks real? The manufacturer has a good reputation? Then you have a great wig.
At Follea we are uniquely able to offer a full range of hair textures in their natural form, the way Mother Nature made it. This is the only way to guarantee that your hair does not need regular perming, and the only way we manage this is by maintaining an enormous stock of natural human hair.
