Hand Processed Premium European Hair

While most human hair wig manufacturers today mass process their hair in huge vats, Follea's European human hair wigs are still made using heritage hand processing techniques. To put it simply: we treat all of our hair like it's our own, or better.

To create our wigs we begin with the healthiest European hair we can find. For each project we pull only hair that closely matches the final color, ensuring that any processing is kept to an absolute minimum. Individual ponytails are processed one by one, ensuring that each retains its own individual character, and guaranteeing that you get only the best European human hair wigs.

Human Hair Wigs & Wig Construction

While 95% of great European Human hair wigs may be their gorgeous tresses, neither we nor the people who wear our products can ignore what's underneath. Here at Follea we use only the highest grade of materials: Swiss lace and spandex, Chinese silk, and space age fibers.

Even with beautiful hair and select materials, there is still the work to be done. To ensure that all of our European human hair wigs live up to the Follea reputation we retain only the best artisans and employ the most rigorous quality control process in the industry. Nor do we rest in developing special technical solutions for the unique needs of an extremely diverse customer base. Follea produces everything from traditional clip-ins to clipless silicone lined Gripper™ wigs in a staggering variety of custom constructions, and we're certain that you'll find our facility with customization is unsurpassed, after all, we have over ten years of experience customizing European human hair wigs for other leading industry labels.

On Buying High Quality European Human Hair Wigs

Never ever choose your hair under florescent lights. Take it outside in the sunshine. That's where you really notice the difference between good hair and bad hair.

A great wig is no small expense and you have every reason and every right to be a demanding buyer. Inspect everything you buy with obsessive attention to detail — it doesn't worry us — because that's exactly what we do as our products leave our production center.

The Quality Test

Most hair professionals begin their inspection of European human hair wigs by holding them up under bright incandescent light and looking at the reflection coming off the tresses — or even better, by taking them out in the sunshine. The luster and color of healthy hair is unmistakably natural: the tresses should have rich, shimmering chromatic texture, and in the direct sunshine color brightens and shine is radiant. The color of cuticle removed Indian hair, on the other hand, deadens noticeably in direct sunlight, even when temporary silicone treatment tries to keep it shiny and reflective, while treated Chinese hair is different: it takes on a Christmas tree gloss.

All European human hair wigs should have soft and air light hair. Let it fall from your fingers and you may be able to find and avoid the heaviness of silicone treated hair (this is done when hair is overprocessed). When the wind blows, healthy and clean hair blows with it — so blowing on the wig or holding it up to a fan is a great test for finding light, healthy undamaged hair. Most importantly, does its movement look natural in a breeze — this is crucial if your wearing a wig is to be invisible.

You should also check European human hair wigs to ensure that the hair cuticle is intact by pinching a small tress and pulling it tight, then running your fingers up and down the taught shafts. Intact cuticle resists when you pull your fingers up the shaft toward the roots, but there is little or no resistance in comparison when you pull your fingers down the hair shafts.

The true test of hair strength and good knotting is the brush test. Simply put, does the hairpiece or wig shed hair on the brush when it's combed? There's no reason you shouldn't be allowed to do this before you buy your wig.

After these checks, there's little more you can do. So make sure that your friendly neighborhood salon or hair replacement center guarantees their European human hair wigs will be tangle free (if properly maintained), and that the hair formation (curly, straight, and so on) is guaranteed to be as labelled, because these additional problems will normally only become apparent after several washings.

At Follea we are uniquely able to offer a full range of hair textures in their natural form, the way Mother Nature made it. This is the only way to guarantee that your hair does not need regular perming, and the only way we manage this is by maintaining an enormous stock of natural human hair.
