At Follea we have had the pleasure of meeting many accomplished, smart and beautiful women who have little or no hair of their own. The “Gripper Quest” started nearly 2 years ago when we learned that 5 of these owners, and many of their Clients, were also Follea hair wearers for a particular reason. They all suffer from Alopecia Totalis, or Universalis. These severest forms of the auto-immune condition Alopecia Areata, leave the afflicted person with either no hair on their head, or no hair anywhere on their body. A sixth owner’s teenage daughter is also a sufferer. Since then, we have learned that more of our customers are also “Alopecians”.

So started a very personal research program, quickly followed by a series of prototype Gripper caps to create a comfortable, secure, light, breathable, natural, beautiful,
affordable, (perfect?) next generation wig for women with no hair. The owners/wearers who participated in the market research have all given the new “Gripper Cool”—Follea’s new in-stock Gripper product line—2 thumbs up. They have also now switched to Gripper themselves.
